Ok had a quick drive in it and got it up to running temperature. The temperature guage rose again. Checked the pipes leading into the top of the radiator. large pipe in middle was hot. large pipe on the right (as you look from front of vehicle) was cold. hope this helps??? told you i was a novice!!

Thanks for the advice so far. Caravan has been moved and the disco towed it like a dream although I was surprised at the rate the fuel guage went down! As for the clock...i have had a look behind it and it appears that the bulb and its housing are missing??? all there is.. are some marks at...

1. How does the clock on my disco N reg 300tdi illuminate. Can never tell the time after dark!!! 2. My dad would like me to move his caravan approx 200 miles. Im not sure of the kerbweights/noseweights etc but suffice to say the caravan weighs 1300kg. Will i have any problems? :confused:

I really enjoy reading all the threads on this site especially the discovery ones. There really is a great deal of knowledge and lots of useful advice out there. One thing I would ask you guys (and ladies if there are any..apologies in advance!) to do is...if at all possible...keep things simple...

:rolleyes: I think I have an alien in my dashboard!! I have a fault with both my speedo and rev counter. I own an N reg disco 300tdi auto and recently both the speedo and rev counter have been behaving oddly. I can be driving along quite happily when my rev counter or speedo will suddenly drop...

Are the heater dials supposed to light up with the rest of the instrument panel? 2. Upon checking under the bonnet yesterday I noticed that one of my hoses is completely...

I cant believe the lack of clubs for discos. surely there must be some. Even if its a monthly meet with the discos at a pub a couple of beers and a chat!

Its 300tdi every time for me. Ever pulled with a posh tart? Always wanting more spent on them! The 300tdi will always give back what you spend on it. Wish Id married mine instead of the posh wife!

Hi according to the landy disco manual. 235/70/16's should be 26 front and 34 back for normal conditions.

I would be interested to know the outcome as my cruise control is not operating either!
