    Preferred Diagnostic Device....

Looking at the huge number of settable parameters on the L322, I am not sure the screen on the Nanocom will be up to it!! Will be interesting to see if they do produce a L322 version. Cheers, Jerry

    Another alarm thread, sorry....

Quick update - disconnected the battery for a few hours and when reconnected, after entering EKA code and with blue wire reconnected, the fobs synced up straight away.... Really must get that updated RF receiver!! Cheers Jerry

    installing hot start fix

I am quite shocked by the nonsense in those LRO articles! Do the glow plugs even come on when the engine is hot (I know the light doesn't)?!? Cheers, Jerry

    Another alarm thread, sorry....

Hi all Have had the blue wire disconnected on my P38 for several weeks now and it does seem to have cured the battery going flat problem - phew! However, like many P38s, mine occasionally loses synch with the remote (remote stops working) and I need to use the EKA to start the car. Usually...

    The Good Book

Mine also gave no fault when it was completely empty of gas ( because I had removed the condensor...). You def need to get that code read.... Cheers Jerry

    Air con fans...

That would certainly explain it ..... Now, I know you are very clued up about these fans as you have designed the mod to use them to cool the engine ilo the viscous fan :-) - is there a quick and easy way to test them, perhaps by jumpering a relay contact somewhere? Cheers Jerry

    Air con fans...

Sadly, it appears not - no Nanocom output to switch the fans on :-(

    Air con fans...

Thanks Keith, that's good to know. I wonder if nanocom can force them on, just to test they do work...... time to go and have a look ;-) Cheers Jerry

    Air con fans...

Just had the aircon regassed and, much to my surprise, it now works (for the first time since I got the car almost a year ago)! Big question of course is how long will it stay working for..... One question though - I have noticed the aircon fans aren't running even though the aircon is...

    Tool

The metal is quite soft, I tried to use a bolt but the bolt twisted before it came undone, a large stilson wrench on the outside of the nut worked perfectly. Cheers, Jerry

Hi eloteq - did you ever get a resolution from Nanocom to this needle lift rpm issue? Cheers, Jerry

    P38 DSE auto idle vibration

+ 1 So far most of my P38 issues have been related to the BMW bits.... Cheers Jerry

    P38 DSE auto idle vibration

Although it is as smooth as silk in the Omega and also the BMW 325 (I have owned/driven both)..... suspect that L/R's engineering on the engine mounts is not too clever. Not that a straight six should be hard to make smooth! Cheers, Jerry

    Towing and EAS

BSD stop posting on here and go out and hook that car up to diagnostics :-) Then tell us the results ;-) Personally I wouldn't bother checking the airbags until you have the fault codes. Cheers, Jerry

    Towing and EAS

Thanks Wammers, never knew that! Could be handy when hitching up. Still doesn't explain what is going on with OP's car though.... will be interesting to see what his diagnostics shows up. Cheers, Jerry

    Towing and EAS

Keith I confess I don't have owners handbook to hand so sorry if this info is in there, but can you lock EAS at motorway height, other than by pressing the switch when EAS has selected it automatically (i.e. above 50mph)? From what OP is saying, I think connecting up some diagnostics has to be...

    Towing and EAS

I think we are missing the point a bit here - OP says the car went to motorway height without even getting to 50mph - this is surely very odd, trailer or no trailer? What could cause the EAS to think it should go to motorway height when below 50mph, as even pressing the height switch on the...
