89 rrc wont run help please

when you said it runs if you hold the key in start position, did you mean it turns over on the starter, or its acftually firing and running? If the latter, surely there can't be a problem with the dizzy. It must be that fuel or spark is ceasing when you release the key. No?

Update on my EAS problem, urgent help required now please

I've looked at the workshop manual now, and as you say its only the sensor arms that move. As said elsewhere in the thread, it would be a really unlucky coincidence if the fault is unrelated to the work done to change that front airbag. I think that applies to the suggestion that it could be...

Update on my EAS problem, urgent help required now please

i don't know anything about this system, but when you change the height sensor, does the wiring to loom get changed too, or does the new sensor plug in to old flexible wiring? If the latter, perhaps wiring broken inside, so signal lost as wire pulls up? All this is in my imagination, so...

    Today's Problem..........Oil Pressure!

flickering light sounds like bad connection to me. I don't think this'd be universally popular advice, but if it was me, I'd start it up and have someone wiggle the connector while I watch the dash.

    Slow Puncture?

worth checking the valve is in tight. You can do it with tweezers if you haven't got the right tool. Then i'd stick a can of tyreweld in it and see if that fixes it. Sometimes does.

    Rear Disk recommendation?

i think coming to dead stop after braking hard (esp keeping foot on brake) can warp disks. Hot pads and calipers heat the disk locally.... I've no evidence to support this, but I've convinced myself it's true and always try to roll on a bit after stopping. Haven't warped a disk since I've been...

    Lumpy running at low revs

you should get those fault codes read, but meanwhile might be worth checking everything is secure: exhaust and inlet manifolds done up, likewise pipes to inlet from turbo and from air filter to manifold. check the map / iat sensors are connected (if present) and connection from injector 4 well...

mines a classic converted to bmw m51 diesel. Havent really had any problems that arent common to that engine in other cars, or that car with std engine. Eas Unlock software, cant get it to run on my Toughbook?

you need to install .net framework. Go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and you should find it offers you it. When you've installed it, i'd expect the software will work. Probably.

Eas Unlock software, cant get it to run on my Toughbook?

'path' is the list of directories windows looks for executable stuff in. Mscoree.dll is such a thing, the program needs it , but can't find it in the path. It might be on your machine somewhere else. You can get windows to search for it with the dir command. From c:\ prompt: dir...

    P36 DSE misfire cured !!!

dry fuel is basically an alcohol (heptanol I think) - its effectively a surfactant (like soap, a bit) one end of the molecule mixes with water, the other with oil/fuel - so dry fuel manages to dissolve the water in the fuel.
