In the past where the vehicle has bogged down with a BDL needle has been in low RPM going up to mid-range RPM so maybe a bit off the part-throttle area.

I think it is the latter of the two. I think I will pull the "custom needle" and put a standard BDL in there.

But the switch to BP5ES plugs has not resolved the sooting up problem. Which means it is probably running too rich for them too.

Yes, just a little. As long as I don't go crazy with the PUSH effort it seems to cope. :) Weird seeing as one day last week I could not walk up or down the stairs on the right leg. As the trike is e-assist I am not having to do all the work I am just adding to the e-assist level and ensuring...

...took the Mini out for a blatt round the town, no problems noticed. Will check the plugs later. Also took the trike out and did a 10 mile loop around Canvey Island in the sunshine. :D That's twice in just few days. :)

OK, so here are the very sooty BP6ES plugs. All equally awful, no special standout cases. I shall pop some BP5ES's in (hotter plugs I think). I hope they don't do any damage, and it might burn off the carbon. :)
