Plan to go to this for the first time on the Saturday, any tips from you old hands? What are the 'don't miss' things to do?

Nothing too serious, the EAS is temperamental, and with the larger wheels and tyres it's Undrivable when it drops. Had new bags and bits, and can pop it straight back up using the unlock software, but means I can't rely on it. Someone with more time would no doubt get a solid motor out of it...

I've had these sat around since I swapped to off road wheels and tyres last year. Set of 20" Storm Alloys that came on my P38. Good used condition, come with 4 Mitchellin tyres, 2 good two with slow punctures (hence me moving to off road wheels). Thought I'd see if anyone here interested before...

Had a couple of good runs since putting the new tyres/wheels on, and I have to say it's been as polite as anything. Obviously there is a load more road noise, but other than that it's still as fun to drive as it was before, only now it goes anywhere :)

Sorry it's taken a while to respond, been out enjoying the new wheels :) Anyway, got a set of star engraved 5 spoke 16" original alloys, and I put some malatest kaimen 265/70/16 boots on it. To say it's been fun would be an understatement :) I would love to hear from any other P38 owners...

I ended up getting a brand new set of original P38 alloys for not a huge amount, and have just put 265/70/16 knobbly off road jobs on them, should do the job handsomely :)

They are superb wheels Hippo, but I can't get the tyres I need onto them unfortunately, my little trusty P38 is being asked to do more than cruise the motorways so the Drug Dealer Rims need to go :)

Just a quick update: Went to Maplins and bought a USB to Serial Cable from them, which worked first time out of the box! :) I guess the moral here is that the cheap generic cables sold maybe have some issue, not technical enough to understand what that might be, but mine came from Taw 4X4...

It's annoying that it's listed as working with Vista, when it doesn't. The driver installer throws up an error as in my first post, but tried unistall etc. to no avail. The pain of it is if I'd realised it would be more straight forward with the cardbus serial adaptor I'd have just bought one at...

I am trying to install the EAS Unlock software (Bought from Ebay with a USB to Serial Cable), which it states will work with Vista. However, the installer for the driver that comes on the disc won't work, I get a 'Driver Install Failure' when pressing the install button. I've got the latest...
