Don't you just hate it when you buy a second hand part and then find it's the wrong bit!!! Oh and why is it that 1 small job always turns into loads to do? Eg.... Back box falls off...small job replace back box, which turns into replace full exhaust system, do loads of welding to wheel arch...

dont think a resistor would be the best idea may end up getting hot.... A better option would be a voltage regulator... or use the innards from one of the USB type chargers (which is basically a 5v regulator anyway)

How do you have the lights wired up? Was trying to figure out how to do that, especially with rear work light.... A wiring diagram would be handy :D

Can some one please advise me on where to fit a jate ring on the rear ( a pic would be fab ) I have been under the rear but can't find any holes in the chassis that will allow me to fit a jate ring. Am I right in thinking the 2 loop things that are bolted to the rear chassis are for tie down...

Is there a bulb for the the clock? And would that be the same part number as the ones for the switches?

Ok not funny ha ha more a funny strange..... There was I driving along a track, nothing serious just a road that isn't Tarmaced few pot holes.. Hit a pot hole then that's when the funny thing started... I could hear the ticking of a relay from under the glove compartment and the little green...

By that do you mean the fuel gauge works as the temp gauge Or it reads empty when is in fact full?

Got myself an auto 300 TDI just wondering how capable are they as an offroader for green lanes and a bit of easy off road stuff... had a few sharp intakes of breath, shaking heads and "should of got a manual if you wanna use it off road"

Found the hose has split at the vacuum thing under where the jack lives, was a bit concerned to find the unit was just wobbling around and not fixed to anything! Cut the hose and re attached, not had chance to try the cruse control yet. next job is to look at the hoses that run across the top...

While pottering about under the bonnet I noticed some plugs on the wiring loom where the headlights are.... Would I be right in thinking that this would be for driving / fog lights? If so could some one tell me which plug is for what, also would I need to check if there is a fuse / relay /...
