You could get a pack like this one LANDROVER SERIES 2 2A AND 3 - UNF NUT BOLT & WASHER SET IN HIGH TENSILE ZINC | eBay If you have a look around ebay there are a few places that do packs similar to this one and any of them makes a reasonable starter pack. Malc.

I did have a similar problem once it turned out to be a poor earth to the engine. There was an earth according to a test meter. I fixed mine by fitting a new earth strap between the engine and the battery box. Started like a dream afterwards Malc.

You can get an app for your smart phone, and your not going to leave in the windscreen of your car. I have not tried any yet but some of the footage from them looks acceptable.

So the previous owner did do something useful after all..... It was him that striped the front end and dashboard and lost/misplaced a lot of bits. It appears painting the fan blades was the only positive thing he had done.

Try putting something like "high output alternator" in Fleabay. You should get something like landrover high output alternator | eBay It might be slightly different over there but you get the idea.

One of the cables goes to the tap on the top front of the block. The other goes to the flaps that divert the air inside the bulkhead/dashboard airbox. Hope this helps, If not shout up and I will get pics tomorrow, Its a bit dark at the moment.

As the door tops remain the same hight I can only assume the truck top and the van top are the same hight. If not they are going to be that close that it makes no difference.

Are you sure you havent got an air leak on your filter? possibly fractured a pipe getting the old one off?

I think the lightweight is about 4" narrower than the standard so the bumper might be 2" short either side.
