If anyone was going to know what colour the bean can was, it would be Heinz!

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

I need to pick up some stuff in Luton on the 6th and will be at the pub after. (I think this is the 3rd month in a row I've said I'll be there - this time it might even be true!)

    Bean tin blue or green

Hello I did a quick look on Heinz web size and they use the HTML colour #007586 for their bean can background. I stuck that in this converter and it gave me the nearest matches as RAL-5018, RAL-5021, RAL-5009 and RAL-6033 (The bean can colour is in the middle, the four matches are round the...

    Electrical Interfearance CB and Laptop.

Just a guess, but sometimes laptops switch different things on if they are charging. You might find disconnecting the power is switching off WiFi, Bluetooth or even dimming the backlight. Try manually switching these off and see if it makes any difference.

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Not a lot interesting close to Tring. The ones between wigginton and Tring and between Wigginton and Berkhampstead are all TROd. I seem to remember exploring the one round ashridge a while ago and they were all ballasted or metalled. The one in Hastoe is seasonally TROd. Moving further out...

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Who hoo got the 109 back yesterday New brake shoes, slave, M/C (again), flexi hose and adjusters and brakes are now sorted. While it was in I had some welding done the bloke said he was getting zinc coming of the chassis while he was doing it, so it might be galvanised, which would be nice...

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Rushed to get my leaky brakes done at the weekend. I managed to get them bled ok, but I must have messed something up as the pedal just hits the floor. I didn't manage to get it sorted and ran out of time and my Mrs is using the car tonight so cant make it. Hopefully its just the adjusters, and...

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Hope Roundhill was good. I saw a convoy of 90s head off that was and a very muddy disco on the way back. I was going to pop up to say hello, but went in the garage and found a puddle of brake fluid on the floor. Arse. Front top left slave cylinder is dripping badly and soaked the shoes, so a...

Ok, I've had a bit of a rethink. The weather forecast is still saying it will be peeing down all day Saturday so I think I'm going to give the BBQ a miss. Hopefully weather will be better for next time.

There's some rain forecast, but I'm still up for doing a BBQ after roundhil. Who's coming so I can get an idea of number for the stuff?

    Need Brake advise.

There are two types of master cylinders fitted to single circuit series the older CB (Compression Barrel) and the later CV (er... dunno) type. My CB failed and a genuine replacement would have been £450. LRSeries now sell the genuine CB one for over £600 . I changed my CB for a CV (a more...

    Another Ryder Silly Question

No reason you couldn't use the switch, or put a T in and install your own electrical pressure sensor as well. (Mine's a bit more old school and has a switch and mechanical pressure gague Teed together) There might be data you could get from the OBD if the vehicle has a more modern ECU. Oil...

    2.25 cylinder head

Glad you got the head off in the end. Mine took me days. The PO had used red threadlock on the head bolts. I ended up using a breaker bar and 5' scaffold pole to get the bolts off!

    2.25 cylinder head

Did Kia get anywhere with this? If you're following the Haynes I have a vague recollection that not all the bolts are marked in the section on taking the head off, and removing the rocker isn't mentioned at all. The bolts that look like they are holding the rocker onto the head actually go into...
