I certainly couldnt move it just by finger pressure - i could try with a small open ender on the linkage? how freely should it move? steve

Just fiddling with a 200tdi before dropping it in my old 90 - how easily should the actuator arm on the turbo wastegate move when still connected to the actuator - just trying to move it by hand, mine feels siezed - anyone know if this is normal? thanks steve

Its sorted - the actuating arm wasnt quite causing the diff lock to disengage - ive er straightened the arm a bit and now its engaging/disengaging ok - thanks all

You were right - the diff lock has stuck on - despite what the warning light tells me, if i jack up front wheel, it wont rotate with diff lock off in neutral - any ideas how to free diff lock please?

PROBLEM SOLVED!! for anyone interested there was a simple solution - dont screw the diff lock switch in too far - this then impedes the diff lock carriage and wont allow the dogs to engage - i took my knackered one apart to see how it all worked - also explained why light wasnt working either...
