Hello. I need to replace both the screws and torx bolts along the top of a facelift headlight, as they are all very corroded and need to be drilled out. Screws need drilling out and one torx bolt sheered when trying to undo. Does anyone know the size of these bolts and screws please. Thanks

Bit of an update - With a new battery finally fitted along with some sort of play around with some of the settings within the ECU, no idea what or which ones, but the end result is that Casper the Discovery has started yay. Along as he remains good there will be an MOT test later this week...

If it's just the switch it's probably same as the one in the Freelander, may swap them over and see if it sorts the issue, if so I buy another one and fit it. If its the same.

Yeah thats the next step to have a specialist look at it, as I have gone as far as I can. Could not find any wires coming off the fuel cut off solenoid, only small wire i can see if coming off the fuel injector pump amongst the four pipes. I would rather keep the EDC to if it possible, I know...

Due to the pump I can’t run a feed from it. Have spoken to a garage and it needs to go in to be re coded somehow, may even need a new fuel pump, if that’s the case I may as well get away from edc and go manual, I have a think about that one

EDC immobiliser in that picture came under the EDC management section. Immobiliser allows engine to crank, but it shuts all the bits down that allows it fire. Just like if I were to take out the fuse for the injector pump, same thing happens. Fuse was the first thing I checked lol just in...

Just allows me to programme the key fobs. I think it’s immobiliser as the three things it does has happened, Cuts power to glow plugs, fuel pump solenoid and starter. All three of these have been affected. Unless it a coincidence:(. Trust mine not to have a spider Ahhhhhh lol

I have another look at the lynx system tomorrow before anything else. Did look in to the fobs but they do unlock and lock the Discovery perfectly, and they have never caused an issue in the past. The other things that have been suggested by other is “trying one or both of these things... link...

Ok thanks, I will try this tomorrow and post up the result. I know there is no power to the glow plugs and the starter motor is also been affected by this issue I’m having, so fingers crossed.

Ok I try taking a wire from the positive on the battery and connect it on to the fuel pump solenoid. Would I have to disconnect what is already on the solenoid, or leave it connected as it is and add an aditional wire. Thanks
