    WTF Pick-up anyone take 2!

Quick update, I managed to find a workshop which had just invested in the latest autologic diagnostic kit covering all LR's, cost him about £12000!!! Anyway plugged it in and came up SAS sensor fault, so got a new one for a X5 (BMW parts much cheaper than LR here) fitted that and a new ABS...

I will hopefully have the ECU which you are welcome to, not quite sure of the logistics on getting it to you but once I have it sorted we can work something out?

Very valid point, unfortunately I didn't personally fit the column, it was fitted by my lads while I was on leave in the UK, I knew the telescopic was not working which we put down to the white plastic clamp being broken, but when they took the trims off the motor had been removed and they...

    WTF Pick-up anyone take 2!

I could but there was no definitive diagnostic answer as the whether the SAS or the column ECU was going to be the issue and cure it, so a complete used column was fitted as it is not the easiest of jobs and didn't want to do it twice especially in 40/50dgs heat, just waiting on BBS to get back...

Paul, from what I can find out the column ECU does not need programming it is plug and play, however the SAS certainly does need programming to the car. Yep I can still use the vehicle but have all the warning lights and boings going on, suspension is up and stays up but can't change settings as...

I don't mind buying one I just need to be 100% sure it will do the programming, if it can't will be a waste of money, will check with BBS, cheers.

Has the Faultmate the capability to programme new parts/ECU's to a vehicle system as does the dealers diagnostics? I seem to remember Saint fitting a ABS module and having to take to a indie for programming as I thought he had a Faultmate, but I maybe wrong??

    WTF Pick-up anyone take 2!

Paul I have fitted the second hand column now the dealer will not programme the SAS as it was not fitted by them and they will also not programme used parts. So I am looking into alternatives as to how this can be done, there are no other dealers or indies here and doubt anyone has a genuine T4...

When swooping to coils I think the instructions advise disconnecting the multi plug on the height control switch, pull the switch and check, also the kit includes a bridging loom for the BECM to dismiss the 35mph warning.

Paul, unfortunately it is Ramadan here and not much happens including trying to get to the bottom of this issue that coupled with the dealer not wanting to check and clear faults as they did not do the work is causing me some hassle, hopefully next week there is a guy coming back off leave who...

first time owner and suspension fail straight of the bat!

I am no electrical guru but if you have a battery drain it could be linked to the HEVAC, maybe final stage resistor shorted, you could try pulling the fuses and/or relays for this and see if it makes a difference, am sure a electrical wizard will be along shortly with more in depth advice.
