Economy and how it can be improved

No ones mentioned a good wash and polish :) it always makes a difference especially when you get all that mud from the break calipers and wheel arches, then the polish helps it slip through the air like a slippery thing :D

save your money for an ashcroft in the rear, dont buy LSD for off road, especially on a landrover they only pass some of the drive to both wheels and rely on wheel spinning to transfer power, and we all know what happens to landrover drive train when you spin the wheels !

just get one you know I will help/show you how to do it you can change some seals and bearings then fit in a month or 2, its about 5 hours work to swap over and can be done in bits over a day or 2. I made a jack cradle for them so there is no lifting involved ( other than getting it out the...

clutch adjustment after it came back from garage

sounds like they left it badly adjusted when new master cylinder fitted, it would have been like you riding the clutch all the time. You maybe lucky and when its correctly adjusted it might be OK just knocked a few 1000 miles off of its life, as they warm up they can slip more. The clutch cover...

Pin / pin shocks on 90

Its not just the tyre size, the extra droop will change the angle of the up wheel/tyre making it rub the chassis/ body/ tub fuel filter, so best check first or you could be stranded.

Pin / pin shocks on 90

Could be that, not sure on TD5 where fuel filter is, just remember you cursing in the rear wheel arch whilst trying to disconnect something from it :D

Pin / pin shocks on 90

fit it all then flex it out with your bigest set of tyres on then have a look, I guess the wheel may rub the filter ? then move filter if needed or adjust your bump stops to suit. There must be a forklift you can use to flex ?

    Drain cleaner for inside chassis

Your not trying hard enough then, the cleaner goes in the front of the chassis and will make it all the way down to the gearbox, yes there are some obstructions early on the strengther tubes for the steering box and a bit of webbing but it will go just needs a bit of back and forth with a wiggle...

    Drain cleaner for inside chassis

Theres enough holes in the chassis to get the drain cleaner in, I did just that a couple of years back used a Nilfisk one, good wash with hose for a few hours then the drain cleaner attachment for a couple of hours into every hole, in the front jacking point then where the loom goes in, pay...

check the axle on the disco could be bent, also the front radius arms and mounting points on the chassis and swivel ball, as they could well be bent/cracked also, if its managed to bend tha panhard rod. If there is now clicking most likely a cv which would indicate bent axle, you would not want...

Only pin/pin for +5 don`t do them up too tight thats why they snap, get Old man Emu or the big bore terrafirma are OK but OME best. then you may need longer flexys and relocation cones if not already fitted. Do you have cranked rear arms if not you may need them aswell to make use of the extra...

    ecu relocation

what if you go through deep water, Ive had water upto the bottom of the screen, there was plenty coming through the dash then ! Back of cubby box, on bulkhead behind seats ? I would keep it off the sides just incase you lay it on its side in a puddle, it would only need to be a few inches...

    pulling to the right....

lenghth of Panhard rod now too short due to lift 3inch is quite a bit, will cause problems. Did you fit caster corrected arms with the lift, brake pads could be contaiminated even if you have used brake cleaner, and also as the others have mentioned all the bushes could need changing. If you...

Minor issues with bearing replacement in rear hub

Think youll find the stake nut was for later TD5, you have a 300tdi was there a stake nut there when you stripped it? should be 2xnuts and lock washer. Hub seal has to set to the required depth or it will fail very quickly, and yes there is float on the half shaft thats why its called a fully...

Not sure if it should move, would think not as it could encourage the lock nuts to loosen, I will have a look tomorrow and let you know. Is that picture of the re-welded posisition ? Is the damper OK just a bit scratched ?
