When i drive over a sleeping policeman or over potholes i have a thumping noise coming from the rear axle/dampers. It only occurs on rebound. Any ideas what it could be??? Front axle/damper are fine. I just find it irritating and want to sort it out. Many thanks in advance.

Could someone tell me how to remove the vents on a 110 TDi??? I suspect my leak in the footwell stems from a dodgy seal. Hence I plan to replace both seals. However, I am struggling to remove the vents! Do the vent knobs screw off allowing vent removal or is there another way to remove them???

I have an oil leak on the near side of my engine block. I only noticed it when changing my intake hoses from the turbo to intercooler and intercooler to manifold. Don't forget that perished rubber hoses do tend to clapse under the vacuum of the turbo. Silicon hoses don't delaninate like rubber and hense will last longer, look better & not expand under pressure like the std hoses.

Just that performance is terrible. Don't get me wrong it will cruise happily at 70mph just takes so long to get there. Then try and get up a hill and it really struggles. Ordered a new lift pump now so hopefully that will sort it. Thanks for your feedback.
