Just tweeked my pump 90 deg on diaphragm and 1 1/2 turns on smoke screw. Wow what a difference. Too much black smoke though so turned the diaphragm back to just 45 deg from original setting and 1 turn on the smoke screw. It's now too dark to test but I'm hoping all is good when I test it...

Which alternator is required?

I'm wanting to fit a rev counter to my defender 300TDi defender. Has anyone done this and if so could you tell me how to carry out this small project. Where is the W connection on the alternator, etc???? Is it straight forward? I believe VDO are the best/std fitment to land rover!

I need to replace my head gasket but I need to understand what it means by notches??? I have looked on the Brookwells website and they have head gaskets with 1 notch, 2 notches, 3 notches..... I have a 1994 M-Reg 300TDi defender. Which gasket do I require????:confused:

I have established that I my water leak is now coming from either the offside top bulkhead seal or the offside bulkhead/windscreen fixing. Is it possible to increase the clamping force on the seal by simply loosening the 3 bolts to the offside of the dash and forcing the windscreen down...
