L322 SOLVED: Grinding rear wheel, found a screw, any ideas where it's from?

Hi, Every time I post it seems to be about a problem so sorry. I also keep saying I'm scrapping the RR and yet here we are 5 years on :) So the latest bit of fun is that I went to take the kids to school this morning and heard a horrible grinding noise from the drivers read wheel, like metal...

L322 TD6 spare plug behind engine?

Yeah it's a bluespark tech2 I think, I bought it years back for the mpg saving but performance was pretty good too! It would have taken me ages to figure it out as I never intentionally removed it, so never thought. Anyway she's back on the road again now, celebratory pint in order I think...

L322 TD6 minimal power after changing High Pressure Pump

When I say diagnostic tool I might be exaggerating slightly (I used the amazon description) it's an AUTOFIX OM126P off amazon, it was only £50 but I've tested it and it does check the fuel system and error codes, which is what I bought it for. It will definitely be used in future! The car...

L322 TD6 minimal power after changing High Pressure Pump

No worries, it's it actually too difficult of a job, but obviously when it didn't work I instantly thought the pump was at fault - but to be honest the refurb that feather diesel services did was amazing, the pump looked as if it was new. And now I have a brand new pressure tester and...

L322 TD6 minimal power after changing High Pressure Pump

Time to admit it was a stupid mistake. I knocked off a connector to the common rail when I took off the manifold. Connected it all back up and it runs the best it ever has (since I've owned it). Thanks for your help! Cheers Chris

L322 TD6 spare plug behind engine?

Brian, absolute legend! I must have knocked the tuning box connector off the common rail whilst removing the intake, I've connected it back up and with the new pump and a cleaned out intake manifold it's never pulled as well! Thanks so much for the pointer! Cheers Chris

L322 TD6 spare plug behind engine?

The cable goes around the back of the engine and seems to come from around the turbo location. Thinking about it I do recall seeing my tubing box led indicator flashing, but couldn't recall seeing this before. Will let you know!

L322 TD6 spare plug behind engine?

L322 TD6 spare plug behind engine?

Hi all, sorry for all the posts recently. I'll nit bore everyone with the detail again, but I changed my HP pump and now I have really poor performance, as in walking pace acceleration. I've been looking around the engine today and I've found this plug behind the engine, it seems to be coking...

L322 TD6 minimal power after changing High Pressure Pump

Yeah it's definitely the HP pump, although I do know they are close. I've just spoken to the mechanic at the refurb centre and he's stuck for ideas too. Suggested scanning it which I'll do later - he also suggested to look at the turbo and make sure it's opening the wastegate when the engine...

L322 TD6 minimal power after changing High Pressure Pump

Thanks both for the response, I've check the plug into the manifold, unplugged it, cleaned it and put it back in - still no difference. But I now have new symptoms! My outside temp on the dash is showing -40 deg c - it's not that cold! And also the LED alarm light under the light is constantly...

L322 TD6 minimal power after changing High Pressure Pump

Hi, I've recently installed a new (professionally reconditioned) High Pressure Pump, put everything back together and now I don't have any power when driving, as in foot to the floor and I can barely get to 30mph. When going up hill it's almost walking pace! I obviously think it's something...

L322 Leak from High Pressure Pump

Could do with some more advice please I've pressure washed out the intake manifold, cleaned out all the ports and put everything back together. It fired up no problem and the engine sounded 100x better than before, the problem is, when I took it for a test drive there is literally no power...

L322 Leak from High Pressure Pump

I was wondering the same, I have an egr bypass kit on, which was fitted when I bought it, everything leading to the bypass kit too is even worse. The port there is actually one of the better ones! Vacuum is a good idea, I'll get that sorted next weekend. All this from getting a service! One...

L322 Leak from High Pressure Pump

Morning, Temp got above 0 deg c yesterday so started working in the engine. It's fiddly to say the least, but I have got to the point of removing the pump, in the video above it says use a 17mm bolt to remove the pump cover. That may have been the case when driving out of the showroom but...

L322 Leak from High Pressure Pump

I don't have that luxury, December in Sheffield. So freezing and raining I guess! Did you have to release the fuel pressure or drain the oil?

L322 Leak from High Pressure Pump

Appreciate the replies, I'll check the links and clips before I take it off. I'll buy the removal tool too, thanks for the offer backinblack, but I'll buy one, don't mind spending £40 if the other option is spending £000's lol

I park it on a muddy, gravel surface, I did smell some diesel the other day whilst under the bonnet tbh, which started me thinking about the service
