What have you done to your Freelander today

Washed and waxed the exterior, cleaned the interior. This will of course ensure that my 99er is in perfect working order and won't as a consequence develop any mechanical issues for the foreseeable future... ...Anyone who doubts this logic will be assimilated shortly thereafter at a time most...

What have you done to your Freelander today

... I thought I'd add a little extra style to the dash. So I cut a tree down and did this... Fool...you do of course realise that you'll now receive a visit from the Green Taliban for alluding to hacking down a tree simply to adorn the interior of your bourgeois vehicle. That, however, will...

Freelander 1.8 K series hgf - more data

No, but if I stick with this '99er it seems like I'm destined to become a regular roulette player...the 'Russian' kind that is!:crutch:

Freelander 1.8 K series hgf - more data

The curious thing about this whole issue was that prior to checking the water and finding it missing I was sure I could smell the distinctive scent of radiator water whilst sitting in traffic with the window down. Having found not hint of leakage anywhere, however, I put the smell down to my...

Curious void where a fan should perhaps be?

Then some swine has swiped my air-con, as my '99 XEi doesn't apparently have one!:scratching_chin:

Freelander 1.8 K series hgf - more data

Nice reading...especially as I've just purchased a '99 1.8 Freelander -83 thou on the clock) that has just consumed three and a half Litres of water in 120 miles without any obvious external signs of a leak from the system.

Curious void where a fan should perhaps be?

Sounds feasible Illy but since posting my questions I've also found an advisory note with the current MOT suggesting that the vehicles brake system will require repair or adjustment  I think it's time to visit a garage and then inform the dealer that they might shortly be picking up...

Curious void where a fan should perhaps be?

Yo guys, Just climbed under the bonnet of my newly acquired 1999 1.8 Exi Freelander and noticed-amongst other things-a vacant hole to the right (as viewed from the front) where a second fan could sit. My first question therefore is...did this model come equipped with twin fans, or...

What have you done to your Freelander today

I fitted a Kenwood CD/Radio in place of the existing Cassette/Radio unit :mil23: It was going without a hitch having first fabricated two unit removal tools from a wire coat hanger resulting in triumphant removal...then discovering that the aerial was some daft bleddin' k 'banjo' fitting that...

    Another Land Rover virgin!

The Freelander may well pop m'cherry...but so long as it don't end up poppin' my wallet's cherry as well, as the resident Moths have to wear sunglasses each time I open it!!

    Another Land Rover virgin!

I'm always up for good banter Ron. I'm an archaeological anorak and an archer amongst other things and trust me, trying to indulge in a little banter on some of their respective forums is somewhat akin to trying to squeeze blood from a lump of flint fer chrissakes :violent:!!

    Radio issues

Hi all, So I look at the handbook that comes with my newly purchased '99 Freelander and it tells me that tampering with the radio can activate the airbags??!! As I want to change the existing Jurassic period 'cassette' radio for a modern CD/radio unit that I carefully ripped from...

    fFREELANDER,HOW MANY MODEL CHANGES?

Hi JL, I've kinda fallen for the Freelander myself and consequently went out and purchased one this Monday. It's a 1999 example which I guess makes it the first of the breed (I assume the '99 possibly carried one or two minor spec changes from the '98 model?). It has a few signs of age...

    Another Land Rover virgin!

Hi, Just purchased m'self a 98/99? Freelander. A well looked after specimen albeit with a few curious habits that'll perhaps need a friendly neighbourhood freelander pilot/mechanic to ride shotgun with me and assess the situation (yeah I know...shutting the gate after the horse has...
