Nice reading...especially as I've just purchased a '99 1.8 Freelander -83 thou on the clock) that has just consumed three and a half Litres of water in 120 miles without any obvious external signs of a leak from the system. :doh:

Sounds feasible Illy but since posting my questions I've also found an advisory note with the current MOT suggesting that the vehicles brake system will require repair or adjustment :confused: I think it's time to visit a garage and then inform the dealer that they might shortly be picking up...

Yo guys, Just climbed under the bonnet of my newly acquired 1999 1.8 Exi Freelander and noticed-amongst other things-a vacant hole to the right (as viewed from the front) where a second fan could sit. My first question therefore is...did this model come equipped with twin fans, or...

I fitted a Kenwood CD/Radio in place of the existing Cassette/Radio unit :mil23: It was going without a hitch having first fabricated two unit removal tools from a wire coat hanger resulting in triumphant removal...then discovering that the aerial was some daft bleddin' k 'banjo' fitting that...

Hi JL, I've kinda fallen for the Freelander myself and consequently went out and purchased one this Monday. It's a 1999 example which I guess makes it the first of the breed (I assume the '99 possibly carried one or two minor spec changes from the '98 model?). It has a few signs of age...
