Mine are the same as OP: bolt heads facing the transfer box and in the other side the bolt heads are facing the diff. But I was left with the same question, how to remove the bolts from the transfer box side because there isn't enough room for them to come out.

Does anyone have the dimensions for the ESR1594L o-rings ? These are the ones that are used in the oil cooler pipes of the R380 gearbox. My old ones are knackered and the ones that seemed equal are not a good fit :(

I recall reading that the more recent ECU (4 wheel ABS) was moved from behind the glove box and into the engine bay. If someone can confirm this, that would be a sure way, easy way, of knowing which is which.

Here, SXC100010 (the later ABS modulator) was introduced at VIN number XA410482.

Grab a hold of microcat and look for the ABS ECU. It will tell you exactly at which VIN number it changed. I know of at least two diesels with the later manifold (black plastic) and without TC at all (pre MY99 TC was optional and available only to the 2 rear wheels).
