I think my engine has a problem. Checked the oil and water today, first time in 3250 miles. Oil level was still at the top and it didn't need any water ..what do you think is wrong?

I use all the above, and the same nice man sold me a "spitfire" thingy to go on the lead from the coil to the dizzy to increase the power of the spark. I told him I had a 2.5 td and he said it would do the same if I used a cable tie and fastened it to my air filter so I am miles ahead of you lot.

In reply to redhand - cheers on the propshaft, I guess I will give that a miss, but my 1989 90 has done over 2000 miles on the old cooking fat. Only blocked the filter when I first put it in, since then no probs.

I am with SEAN, go for the grinder - job always looks like its been done right with shiny new bolts/nuts - and use copperslip for next time then you will be able to use the spanners to get it off.
