Ah italian cop cars. 2.0 liter rover T series. Underpowered for the Disco, but the 90 is much lighter. Anyone know more about this engine?

Depends a bit of what the issue is. Sometimes just giving it a good clean is enough. There are some mechanical parts in there which, if dirty, have a hard time moving. Brushes can be replaced too.

Just got a phone call from the garage owner. He had it looked at and said it was only a case of not enough oil in the engine ... yeah right. I've told him I didn't want to run the risk, which he accepted without even trying to convince me otherwise.
