    my thanks to members of this great club, have ordered stat and will be giving it a try. Would it be easier to remove hose and stick the end in very hot water to soften the rubber?.

    is it bigger job to fit the top hose thermostat on my td4 auto i have been told that it is different from the manual version ,any help on this job would be greatly appreciated many thanks to our knowledgeable members in advance .

    i bought a pump off flea bay that connects to the battery and pumped the oil out through the dip stick tube.no problems got a good 95 percent out no taking under tray off till i really need to.

    Yeah your probably right makes a bit of sense when I think about it. Can the bearing be re greased or is a second hand strut the order of the day.

    when i turn steering wheel when stationary there is a clunking sound that comes from the n/s front,this is not as loud when the car is in motion.Any help on this problem would be very appreciated .thanks.

    Thanks a lot to everyone for their support it turned out to be low pressure pump, I changed it this morning all seems to be well again in landrover land once again.

    Thanks buddy for your input why are there 2 engine management lights on the dashboard. The landy does not reset after stopping and then restarting, light goes out as it should then as you increase revs light on and it goes into limp mode. Wher e is low pressure pump located thanks again.

    well completed the task it was quite a struggle working off car ramps.no mean feat for a 70 year old have to remember i am no spring chicken any more.Next job complete brake pipe overall,no rush as yet just to wait for better weather.steady away eh.

    how many bolts hold the air con compressor i have taken 2 long 10 mm bolts out and 1 small 10 mm from a bracket and it just twists slightly but wont come off.have i taken off every thing i should have.help please.

    my 2004 freelander 1 td4 alternator has packed in battery light on but goes out with a clout from a long bar and hammer.New one arriving tomorrow ,what sort of job is it to do.any help on doing this myself would be much appreciated. many thanks in advance to all our members.
