    Scotland - Lanes

The SGRC has become quite popular with Green Roaders. Being the only club in Scotland catering solely for green roading, we now have over 50 members. The website is now greatly improved, thanks to Sandy, our Founder and Chairman, and has lots of photographs of the runs we have been on. (Six so...

    Scotland - Lanes

A new club has been formed in Scotland solely for the purpose of Green Road driving. As you are aware, the laws in Scotland differ from those in England and Wales. Most of the driving is on private roads, so places visited are off the beaten track and most of the scenery is breathtaking. We have...

Does anything other than a disco have 7 seats?

I took the rear bench seats out of my 110csw, and fitted two fold up rear seats. Now have 2 front, three middle and 2 back =7. All forward facing with belts. geoff:)

    p38 1996 remote problems

When I got the P38, they only gave me key 2, so I had to order a Key 1 from the Land Rover Dealers. Cost over £100. The storeman programmed the key for me. Try: rrepairs It's American, but very good geoff:)

    1 year of p38 ownership

I've had my '95 DSE for a year, and apart from not being able to get low box, and a problem with the interior alarm, I'm delighted with it, and driven carefully, I can get 30mpg. geoff

    p38 1996 remote problems

I think the main problem is that a previous owner tried to bodge the alarm system and made a cnut of it! I've come to live with the alarm problems now, and just drive round in high box all the time, which is what most poeple do anyway. I wonder how many P38's are in low box in the world at any...

    p38 1996 remote problems

Hi Brian I assume the faulty/unplugged interior alarm is causing it. The only consequence I have is 4 beeps when I put the key in, then the message changes to "select neutral" when I set off, as I can't select low box for some reason, but that's another problem!! geoff

    p38 1996 remote problems

I used to get the alarm going off every morning at the same time. Now disconnected the remote from the radio antenna and no longer have the problem. No longer have remote either, though!! Have "alarm fault" when I put the key in, but that's the interior sensor causing that, so, seeing as it...

    Alarm Problem

The owner's handbook will tell you how to reset the alarm. I had an LSE and the key method was the way to reset, but you need to know the vehicle security code. Sorry I cant help with the actual method, as the manual went with the car. geoff:)

    P38 Select Neutral Message

I had a very helpful reply from David Sparkes in Land Rover Addict forum: "With a car that is new to you this could be 'anything'. The biggies are a failed ECU or a failed position switch in the change motor that is not giving a good signal to the ECU. Which you attack first is up to you...

    P38 Select Neutral Message

Having the same problem with the 1995 DSE that I just bought. I took the Transfer Box ECU out and removed the bottom plate. There's black sooty marks in one corner of the PCB. Now trying to source another ECU. There's a lot of different part numbers. The one fitted to mine is ERR5882. geoff:)
