Same happened to me with my MK1 Golf GTi. £250 no mods declared, shopped around for renewal (by this time it was a road legal race car) and got it for £100!

Northern Ireland plate is irrelevant as they are part of the UK! Our Audi wears Armargh plates but it aint ever been there. If it was Southern Irish you would have problems but being a UK car you have none.

Can't really offer you advice in buying Land Rovers as such because I bought mine as a rolling project. In buying any cars though I would always say buy the best you can realistically afford. Try and locate someone in your area who knows what they are looking at to come and check it over...

Why is it weird? You can convert most diesel to duel fuel it's just a lot more expensive than converting a petrol. LPG is 52p a litre here, diesel is £1.27. A big saving if you're doing a lot of miles.

Ah cheers, I'm not doing the conversion, no space to work, it's at a Land Rover specialist. I'm over there on Tuesday so I'll ask him about doing it while he's swapping the engine over.

Just wondering, will it be possible to make the power steering system from the donor Disco 200 TDi fit my 90?

Sadly this one's not for keeping. Picked up a Discovery 200TDi last week for £400, 12 months MOT, loads of tax and best of all only 80k on a recon engine. It's already at the garage where my 90 is waiting to have the engine and box transplanted so my 90 will live again!

I'm off to Scarborough next week to get some decent shots of the engine, unless you think the ones above will do?

So just sell the engine complete with them then?
