Some feed back for anyone in the future........... Took it to my local indy and it had 4 conclusive fault codes relating to the throttle sensor, which is part of the accelerater pedal assembly. Which cost £47 part £60 labour + VAT(fit pedal clear codes, reset etc) , job done sorted...

Yes it was the fan staying on because of this part. It was very awkward to replace, being on your back in the drivers footwell. But part was replaced and have had no problems since. Thanks..............Adam

Without being horribly sarcastic, I did write in big writing PLUG SIDE. So this is refering to the plug side of the thermastatic plug. NOT the ECU.
