Are the water jets heated for the windscreen? Will Enquirery about a replacement screen. The car is booked in to get the suspension looked at will Enquirery then.

£100 windscreen excess= easy fix :) When the screen is misty you can see the elements that don't work about 30% of the screen doesn't clear.

It's a L322 03 plate.

The heated windscreen only "heats" in certain places, does this mean a new screen to fix the fault? I do have a small chip in the middle of the screen that might be an MOT fail. Cheers :confused:

The little grey clip on the power cable was not tight enough, so it was a poor connection. Adjusted the clip and its tight and making a good connection. The clip on the new unit is slightly different from the old unit, I think this caused the problem. All sorted now, just need to work on the...

Got the mirror working:) now just got to figure out the why the battery is draining and the front suspension is making a squeaky noise. Still loving driving it though.

All connectors are fine, I thought it would be a straight plug and play as the new mirror comes with new wire loom.

Help I have fitted the new mirror, but no power getting to it apart from the puddle lamp. The power fold and the electric mirror don't work. Tried the fuses but they are fine. The new mirror was £326 inc vat from land rover so not to bad apart from it doesn't work!! Any ideas????

Thanks for the info but unfortunately the mirror that used to be fitted before it was ripped off by that f?!()£&** baw bag is the one with all the features such as puddle lamp, fold, electrochromic etc. my pal has managed to get me a part with a large discount from a landrover dealer for £367...

Some low life has used my range rover as a super market and smashed off the drivers mirror, taken the centre caps on the wheels, the lower towing front plastic cover and tried to take the wind screen wipers! Anyone got a good idea where to get a new mirror etc? :mad::mad::mad:

Will there be any residue on the oil filler cap? I have renewed the water pump, belts and radiator. Will check all the hoses next.

Coolant system still not right. After the recent work on water pump etc the coolant level is still dropping. There is a hot coolant smell coming from around the engine, the temp level is steady and there are no obvious leaks. I need to put in around 1/2 a litre after a long trip (200 miles) this...

Got under the car on a set of ramps today, took off the plastic skid plates and found a coolant residue dripping down from around the water pump. The temp has been steady but not driving/ running the the car until I know for definite what is wrong. I wish I had the time to strip it down myself...

Would the water pump failure give the oil residue symptoms ?

What r the symptoms of a failing water pump? How much is it going to cost to fix ? Looking at the main belt driven cooling fan there seems to be some movement in the spindle of the fan, does that mean the bearings are shot?

Where is the water pump? and could it have anything todo with the residue in the oil?

After my long run from Scotland to Great Yarmouth (and back) my coolant level is down to minimum from full. And more concerning there is a white residue on the oil dip stick. Still can't see any obvious water/coolant leaks, I'm worried this is going to get messy. Any ideas? The engine...
