Sorry im a bit thick when it comes to mechanics :confused:. All i know is its got coil springs and dampers

Hi all i have just been and bought a 1990 range rover vogue se 3.9. The rear suspension seems to be very boaty and unstable when driving. It has coil springs fiited which are after market ones. Does anyone know what it could possibly be. Any help would be great cheers.

The alternator was a brand new one.So there shouldnt be anything wrong with it.

just been for a drive to local shop and charge light is definatley not as bright as it was yesterday. So could it be that the battery was part flat and the alternator is charging it back up ?

Not yet my mates got me meter. Hopefully get it back tomorrow. Could it be a faulty alternator

the alternator has spade connectors. 2 big one 1 small

No not yet did before i fitted new one and it was droping like a stone. Theres 3 wires going to the alternator two big and one small. Could it be the two big ones the wrong way round

Any ideas on what could be the fault. Wires are connected,belt is tight.

just fitted a new alternator to my 2a. But for some reason the charge light is constantly on is this because its charging up the battery (was driven for most of the day before while the alternator wasnt working ) or is something wrong

So a 2a alternator should be fine

Hi all my alternator on my 2a has packed up ****ing me off in the process. So a new alternator is on the want list;).Fitting it isnt a problem but my 2a has a 2.5na engine out of a 90. It might seem a daft question but will a 2a alternator be fine or does it have to be one of a 90?

and what ever rust patches turn up in the future no doubt.

i know but i saw it on ebay with 2 minutes left for £12 on ebay for a year old clarke 100 which i thought was a bit of a bargain

right guys just bought a arc welder. Im completly new to welding this may sound dumb:confused: but how do you use one i.e setup,controls and what welding rods to use on a landy chassis cheers

the oil looks a blacky colour dont think its gear oil as ep90 has a eggy smell to it

My clutch on my series 2a doesnt seem to have much pressure behind it. Was fine until recently and theres also a funny whining sound when your in 3rd and 4th gear almost like a fan belt squeal. Also seems to be leaking oil where the gearbox meets up with the engine any help would be great:)

Hi all just a quick one,what oil has to be used in the steering box on my 2a would ep90 be ok also whats the best way to top up me gearbox any info would be great ;)

Hope its the rad then. I take it you've checked the hoses for blockage. Or maybe invest in a new rad.
