Getting Gwen the Mini to Run.

Most common carb needle in the day for a 1275 was a DZ, used by Austin, Riley, Morris etc for their standard 1275 motors with single inch and a half (38) carb BTW.

If it's not smoking and burning oil then that's a bit rich, post a pic of your needle next chance you get please :)

I've had more than ten Minis, gave up counting I've only ever had one that ran with light brown plugs and it burned an exhaust valve out. If you're anywhere from light grey to black without soot then it'll be fine :)

I'm pleased with the motor so far as is the GF, she pinches it at every opportunity, fink it makes her feel a bit more important than being seen in her Honda Jazz :p This stuff is CHF202 And I'll need around 2 litres to do the job and buying 5Ltr is cheaper than 2Ltr Seeing as I'm probably...

What have you done to your Freelander today

You're right Managed to get a 27mm socket on it and free it off a bit but then realised that as I unscrewed the filter top it would wind out and jam on the radiator housing so it has to be a spanner  I don't have a flexi head 27mm spanner so I've ordered one from amazon, be here...
