so i think top of the list is new tyres. a hi lift, sand tracks. and maybe a course on how to use it all. but then again i have a month over there to try it out

i have overdrive and free wheeling hubs. was tempted to put larger tyres on it too.

but wouldn't u need to have it fixed to something???? finding a tree in the desert could prove tricky. ground anchors on the list then???

no one else is coming but tow ropes look good wrapped around the front bumper. and how does the hi lft winch work????? I really think i should go on a 4x4 course before. I do have access to a huge turfer if i need it.

ear defenders?????? or jus some sound proofing? and are they needed all the time or just on tarmac?

i thought that'd make u see sense. So we have sand traks. hi lift jack. spare tubes, bulbs, fuses, tyre levers. tow ropes. jerry cans(full of course), usual tool kit. spare fluids.

And please don't forget i have done less than 1 mile in my landy so far. so we have a lot of bonding to do. and also ten months to plan for the little trip.

Right i think it's time i left. Lets jus sell the landy a buy an RS Turbo like most of the blokes my age.

I don't think I'm safe to be sat here to be honest with you. If i had endless cash i think i would get all the kit possible. But then i would be goin in a Defender with all mod cons. but then that wouldn't make me a man.

That part is sorted. My job is to sort out the transport. My mate who is coming with me.. Is an experienced traveller so knows all the easy stuff.
