No I helped my wife into thinking that it's more economically viable to spend the 2 or 3 grand she'd was putting to one side ( for a cheap hatchback ) on the landy rather than on some nasty piece of French muck. Smiles all round...............well I'm sure there will be at some point.

How much would it cost to sort the defender ( you know tyres that can handle snow, chassis rust etc ) ? Then compare that cost to the price of the rr. Can you afford to run two cars etc ?

Well judging from your responses it seems pretty clear cut to me. You don't want to risk your defender because of the tlc you've lavished on it , understandable ,there aren't enough seats in the defender , the rr has definitely left a lasting impression on you. Gurfurrit.

Do you think that the rr will be any better?

Maybe you should think about changing the tyres for the change in weather.
