No, there are two aerial connections because you had the Diversity radio installed on your P38. Basically, the radio would pick the antenna with the best signal, or something along those lines. Either aerial lead should work, nothing to do with the satnav. -Wills :)

Im not familiar with the car kit from Parrot but I would definitely advise you to spend the extra ££ (checking with Dashmount that the harness will work ok with your kit) than start trying to cut around the audio harness in the vehicle. The way you mentioned above seems very tedious to wire up...

Hate to say this but I had exactly the same thing with my DSE a while ago. In my case it turned out to be a cracked cylinder head which caused the pressure build up to split the rad. It didn't show any signs of overheating but the rad just split. After that I then had problems overheating...
