    Essex lanes

The TRO was lifted at the end of last year (As I understand it, it had been closed for at least a year)... The "repairs" that were carried out, where to put some foot-bridges in, for people to walk around the Obstacles. I never drove it prior to this year, so cant comment on if any other...

    Essex lanes

Best bet, is to take a wonder over to "Essex off road" pay'n'play site, just off Regement Way, opposite the golf -course in Chelmsford. Go for a look....see what its all about....then maybe pay ya money & go for a play on the simple stuff to start.....most people there will be ok about giving...

    Essex lanes

Its short (Only about 3/4mls), & most of it is nice enough. There are 3 or 4 "holes" that you cant avoid. 1 (The 1st one if you go in from the A128 end) is about 3 or 4 car lenghts long....motors with 33" tires just belly-up & have to winch out (Although as it dries up through the summer...

    Tesco's Veg oil on offer

Thats true...current price is circa 80ppl (for Rape seed oil, Soya oil is a bit cheaper)...Tesco's stuff works/worked out about half that price.... Additionally, the stuff in Cash&Carry/Makro etc contains anti-foaming agents which, I understand, isnt a desired additive in an oil being used as...

    discovery work lamp

I fitted a couple mico fog lamps on the top of the rear door....they are fairly well protected from branch's/snagging etc.... I simply screwed into the door, & used hotmelt glue to hold the wires in place on the inside lip of the door, down the side into the rubber tube holding the rest of...

How often do you get a puncture?

Ive had my current set of tyres for about 6 months... Two tyres have been repaired (cooked overnight to re-valconise(spl?)) One tyre has had a standard plug-repair, one tyre now has an inner-tube..... Was out lst month with a couple of mates, they got two flats in 30 mins, they had to...

    a more reliable way?

Yep, thats the same as mine....but the air you are trying to blow down the breather, still has to go somewhere.... If you blow down the breather to the transfer box, and you havnt taken out the filler plug, you will just compress the air in the Transfer box &/or think the breather is...

    a more reliable way?

I assume you have removed the filler/level plug 1st?. With the filler-plug removed, you should be able to blow down the breather with ease. If you havnt, you'll just be compressing the air in the breather/axle.........& if you use an air-gun, you could blow a seal.

    Bearing grease

erm...I always thought the one-shot grease was for the swivel-housing/bearings.... & I would have thought, totally NOT suitable for wheel bearings! For wheel bearings, use wheel bearing grease!...I buy the stuff in tubs & use the same stuff in my grease-gun.

High Lift Mounting... Where and Why?

My mum (who likes to come off roading!) who finds it hard to get in'n'out (despite the small folding plastic step, on a bit of string so it can be retrieved from the floor, whilst in the seat :D) doesnt find it gets in the way at all...doesnt touch her feet/legs/nuffink.... I will try to get a...
