    What this bit do. . . ?

Just finished doing the front swivel joint and brakes on my other half's disco, and after blooming hours putting it all back together, I found this on the side. Do'h! It looks like some sort of spacer, but is it necessary? I've already taken the car for a test run, and it drives lovely now, I...

I've got that sinking feeling - Terrafirma +2" Springs drooping.

is one of your legs shorter than the other? :D:D
  3. sirwingalot

I went here in my landy today - where did you go ?

I drove the missus's disco to where mine is stored, to carry on swearing at it. Sorry, I mean fixing it.

    Ashtray What's in yours?

Thats a very good idea. You could also remove it totally, and use the space for a small switch plate.

    Mot Worries

No, your right, its not worth it. Its not worth the damn effort, and the hundreds of hours I've put into the thing to only be told my welding is sub par and the bits I haven't welded either need welding or replacing. In total 16 fails, over 3 sheets. Total waste of a year.

    Mot Worries

Well all the luck in the world, and its was all a waste of time in the end. It has failed on so many counts, its not even funny. I think this is the end of the road. I'm off to top myself! Bye!

    Mot Worries

Well after a year of work, most of it with in the last 2 weeks, since the council told me to move it or loose it, the disco is ready.... MOT is in a few minuets.:eek::eek: Not too worried - MUCH! OH well time to go. I'll let yall know if I can be joining you on the road soon! *whimpers*...

    Part numbers (I know, again!)

Sorry guys, another part number request. Have spent days looking and can't find what I need. I'm missing one of the nuts that holds the rocker cover on, and can't locate without a part number. And also I need some more bolts for the exhaust manifold to the engine block. If any one has a clue, I...

    Best fathers day ever!

Well I know that now! :D I wasn't just worried about it running away, but I was more scared it wasn't going to start at all. I mean most cars can not sit for a year, then just turn over once, and then fire up as if nothings happened. That is not an every day occurrence, but if it is with...

Thank you. A big day for all the family (and a fingers up at the neighbours!)

    Best fathers day ever!

So, been a fairly good day so far. Few cards, nice lunch, the missus bought me some bit for the Beast, etc. So its been off the road for a year now, and I'm slowly working trough the gremlins, mountains of welding, and replacing the bits we've nicked for her disco. Well today was the day to try...

    Best Tow Ropes / Chain

Hmmm. Maybe I'll put up with the chain till I get some strops. Are second hand worth looking at, or is it best to buy new?

    Best Tow Ropes / Chain

Out of interest, why do people avoid chain like the plague? I've got a brilliant 40ft length of very heavy duty chain that i intend to use for recovery. Is this not a good idea? I like the fact that if it breaks (yeah right, I could hang the landy off it!) it would just drop, not ping...
