From my understanding, the best thing to do is fit forward facing. With sideways ones, arguably you should NOT fit seat belts, because if you have a head on collision, the passangers necks will snap, and it seems to be argued either way if lap belts do much, also I imagine that 3 point type...

Went for an mot, failed on the rear tub supports, not sure if I have time to fix it all my self, I think I need a new floor aswell, can I just buy the supports and rubber chassis mount things and a normal sheet of ally plate, rip the old stuff out and put new in? Also the supports that run...

If you take the hinge off, might be worth checking wing mirrors, as the door has to come off to do up and undo the Bolts to hold it on ( I just discovered this as my bolts have worked loose, and now I need to get my door off to tighten them, not a big job, just cant be arsed!)

It's going to have heavy steering, people in hatchbacks with out power steering moan, a landrover that is heavier and has wider tyres will have heavy steering, I understand there could be another issue though e.g. No oil in your steering box.

I think insurance call it 2.3 because they round it, (conveniently to suit them) for example, on my insurance, it says 2286cc diesel, on the quote summary 2.3
