    seats

I personally have 3 standard up front, whoever goes in the middle pretty much needs to be an intimate partner, due to gear changes, but I only use that seat when there's no other option to transport me and 2 mates legally. I'm 18 and in been such an age I find the standard seats ok, I did drive...

    Removing the sheet behind seats

The bulkhead? The one the behind the fronr seats? It is structural, you can get bars designed to replace them, the bar is a 'u' shape so you wont have to remove it all the time, look on craddocks, I think they may only do them for 90 and 110's but they are a very close fit

    Roof Bars for Series 3?

Go to the introduce yourself section, some people get annoyed if you don't. As to the question, I'm 99% sure john craddocks will sell them, could try the usual ebay I think most landrover specialists will have them, eg. Famous four, lr series, paddocks etc

    Impact damage to gearbox bellhousing

Looks to me like something triee to get out rather than in? I would be more concerned about what caused it, but I think the small holes and chemical metal seems best as you cant get a TIG welder

    hadley 4x4 Whitchurch

Hi chaps, I went to stay at my gf's narrowboat and saw a sign for hadley 4x4 (near Whitchurch) just wondered if anyone has any info on dates etc, also we followed the signs direction and it lead to a private road keep out sign. Ive looked on the internet and I can only find 2014 posts and...

    The squeek wasn't the prop:(

Yeh I suspose I did really, I still need to have a decent look at the drum (brakes work as normal) so I'm praying it's ok! Also need to buy 2 new wheel nuts I had to borrow one off the front, so now I have 4of 5nuts on both left wheels

    The squeek wasn't the prop:(

Ok back UJ on back prop done, running very sweet Although on the way to the garage, while leaving a roundabout my back axle decided it only wanted one wheel instead of 2, I managed to get onto the verge and then go exploring for my tire, luckily found some of the wheel nuts up the road, and I...

    The squeek wasn't the prop:(

Think this is correct Sam but tbh the whine isn't a major concern to me, so long as it doesn't go bang or stop working I'm used to it. It's the drivetrain vibration that concerns me more as I think they are closer to failure

At what distance do odometer reset?

I guess one way to find out is to look into the condition, if your diffs have lots of play and also props, or if it's a diesel, how bad does it smoke ? Basically I'm saying if the engine and running gear are in good nick that's an indication and to be honnest, more important IMO

    The squeek wasn't the prop:(

I don't think I'll be doing a diff swap, especially as what I saw on eBay was about £60+ quid for anything worth considering. After having a better look today, I've realised it is a UJ on the back axle that's knacked (yes I was wrong when I said it seemed fine:( ) I would've attempted this...

    The squeek wasn't the prop:(

I think the clonk is as you say tottot, after me playing with the prop today! Thanks for the info about back lash, hopefully it's having it's time of the month and will go away, or more likely to be just bearings!

    Series 2b's

Oo I like the one on the right too! Never seen one before

    The squeek wasn't the prop:(

I have topped up the gearbox and axles with ep90, sounded abit better but I didn't get much of a test drive so can't tell yet! Checked the rear prop, there is rotational movement in the sliding joint but I can hear it and not visablly see the movement, so I don't think its that, also the UJ's...

    The squeek wasn't the prop:(

Although my front prop needs attention it wasn't the cause of the squeek! I have realised that I have a few differnt ones. 1) is a fanbelt type noise, my fan belt is new ish and still suitably tight so any ideas in that one? 2) there is an occasional clunk from the rear when I take you...

    squeek

Am I right in thinking no damage will occour from just removing the prop and driving it for a few days ?

    squeek

Ok Ive got the bits for 1 end of the prop, so will have to do for now, nither end is loose at all, its just squeaky! Hopefull will get round to it sunday:)
