Just to confirm what MuddyFox said -If both sets of seats DON'T have the seat belt receiver attached they can be interchanged. I've done it in mine. Be aware the not all the bolts have captive nuts!

Don't want to be rude but do you mean speedo or rev counter? The rev counter is connected to the back of the alternator. So both faults may be as a result of a bad/wrong connection.

Presumably, as you have an ES you have leather seats. You can't easily change the foam on leather seats as the leather is bonded to the foam.

Under the glove compartment on passenger side. I think it is a green box. Check whether it is secure, if it isn't the slightest jolt will set it off. Unfortunately you cant just remove it as it is part of the alarm/central locking ecu.

If it is a D1 they come from the ignition module which is between the coil and distributor. There should be 2 white wires going into it.
