Disco 2 Anyone ever removed the rubber side trims?

Furniture polish is also good for removing sticky stuff, spray on plenty and leave for about 20 minutes.

Might sound daft, but try WD40, if it doesn't work then it is probably the only thing WD40 can't do! Let the WD40 soak in to the tape for a while!

    TD4 Road Tax

My apologies, I was correct, now I am wrong, they seem to have increased the duty since I paid mine, thankfully I paid on Thursday, if I paid from today, I too would have had to pay £305!

    TD4 Road Tax

You are all getting confused, if your vehicle is registered before March 2006 then it is only £295 for the year. I've just taxed my 02 90 TD5 as from today and only paid £295!

    Electrical Stuff

I wouldn't use the wire going to the CB, only because it is always better to have the CB wired completely separate from anything else, this leaves less chance of interference through the CB!

I've upgraded mine with the Wipac set, works well. So what if they are bright, quite a lot of cars are built with them now and they are just as bright!

    engine fault?

Did you or the local mechanic bleed the system properly? Not sure how you do it with the Freelander2, but with my old Td4 you used to have to press the accelerator pedal to the floor then start the engine, when the engine started back it off to about 2000 revs until it cleared. after 2 or 3...

Have you checked the relay, should be one of the ones under the fuses! Or checked there is power getting to the fuse.

Side lights and rear lights problems

IT'S FIXED, Yahoo! After spending around 6-7 hours playing around with little lights, wiring harnesses and fuses, it was an easy and annoying fix. Every time I turned the ignition on to start testing a different part of wiring the radio would obviously come on, so eventually after getting...

Side lights and rear lights problems

Well, I've just been reading the wiring diagram in my Haynes manual, and what a read that is, took some time to understand but I think I need to try a few things. Through reading it seems that as the lights come on when key is turned to first position, that should narrow things down, i.e. what...

Side lights and rear lights problems

That's correct, with relay removed the lights still came on. I should be able to get some help tomorrow so will have another go. For the moment I have not replaced the fuse for the dim dip as everything else seems to be working okay, so hopefully if there is a short somewhere then at least I...

Side lights and rear lights problems

Bogging, it is my error for not explaining correctly. It is still side lights and rear lights, just didn't see point in writing that all the tim, sorry! I removed the dim dip relay to see if there was any difference, but the lights stayed on. It was later when I was removing fuses individually...
