Alarm question...doubt anybody will know though.

Personally I would set the alarm off to see if both are working, if so leave both connected as will probably create more noise if set off!

    ACE removed

Because he lives in Kent or because D2 no longer has ACE. :D Spoke to him today, it's broken down again, he's been having a few problems with it lately and now it needs a new turbo, so now he's going to get a secondhand one then sell the D2!

    ACE removed

Hi Sierrafery, I think from what he has told me, it is indeed to disable the warning light. If no joy with getting a tester then I will suggest to him the method you have posted. Many thanks Tony

    ACE removed

Hi, I have a friend in Kent that has a D2 that no longer has ACE, he has asked if I know of anyone that has a diagnostic kit that can be plugged into his car and tell it that it no longer has ACE. Can anyone around Kent advise where he could go, or is there anyone willing to do it for a drink?

    Td5 2004 thermostat not working

still sounds like trapped air, probably in the heater matrix. This happened to me some years ago with a Sierra, i ended up using a garden hose attached to return to expansion tank then turned on tap and blasted backwards through system for about 15 minutes. MUST be done when engine is COLD!

    Td5 2004 thermostat not working

it sounds as though there could be a blockage or trapped air! I would give the system a good flush through then make sure the system is bled properly on refill.

    Wipac LED Indicators Slow Flash?

Hi Jonah, Hope you get it sorted, just one quick note though, the knob on top of the relay isn't for adjusting the speed, it is just for rectifying dashboard errors, i.e. the trailer light! Regards Tony

    Wipac LED Indicators Slow Flash?

Hi Jonah, With the hazards on turn the little knob on top of he relay one way or the other until the trailer light stops flashing. As for them running slow, not much can be done, if you think they are too slow then get on to Wipac for a replacement flasher unit. That's about all I can suggest...

    Outer Hebrides greenlanes

Exactly right Paul D, and your link is probably the best way to go. I've been living in Scotland for only a year and have joined the Scottish Green Road Club, as its one of very few ways you'll get to do any Green Laneing up here! It's not full on Green Laning, but you get to drive along rough...

Towing a caravan with a Freelander

+1 above, had to put spacer on my old Freelander tow bar so that mine worked fine, before that i used to twist the hitch slightly until the lever cleared the spare wheel then twisted it upright before pushing all the way down!

    ROV problems..?

Surely the valve should have reset when the vehicle was put right way up, are you sure it's not the fuel cut off under the bonnet on the bulkhead?
