    what have i done now

I think it depends on the age of vehicle. Post '99 Bosch models only had one temp sensor which I recall was black and located front an centre. I think the pre 99 GEMS Lucas models had two but can't be sure.

Just bought a Range Rover Sport 2.7 HSE....Advice please!!

When I had the two P38's I set an annual maintenance budget of £1000 per vehicle. Of course you need to do this up front as problems can occur the day after you have bought it. I also had a maintenance schedule which I used to help me plan for major serviceable items such as airbags, tires etc...

    range rover synchronizing

Worth remembering that there are two different sync problems that P38's are prone to. Mark has mentioned both in his post but it worth emphasizing that other than being caused by flat batteries they are not related. You mention in your original post that you are referring to the sync between the...

    New to rangerover v8

I think you are mixing up the different types of sync. First type is sync'ing key fob to BeCM. Mozz is your man for this. Second type of sync is between BeCM and ECU . No amount of EAK codes will fix this. You need a SyncMate from BBS or a Nano, Faultmate etc. Save yourself the hassle and just...

Imobaliser has come on how do we start it

As Data says it has most likely lost sync. Unfortunately on the post '99 models there is no way knowing this without diagnostics. Worth investing in a syncmate from Black Box solutions.

    slight misfire

See post number 2....and £25 was all you needed to spend on set of OEM leads. Not disputing quality of Magnacore leads but the price doesn't warrant it.

Those are what I fitted to my '99. As far as I know they are the OEM.

    overheating on my range rover

Increasing the cabin temp has got to be a red Herring. There is no valve in the P38 heater matrix so coolant always flows through it. Changing the position of the hot / cold blend flap is not going to change much. Mind you since you have already fitted a new Rad it is difficult to see what else...

Pure antifreeze will freeze around -26°c. It only gets its full anti freezing capability when mixed in equal parts with water.

    Glovebox stuck shut

Assuming the cable is not broken, remove the wood trim facia. This will reveal 2 screws that hold the glove box button. Remove the screws and button and you can then adjust the cable accordingly to your needs. If the cable or the mountings are broken the none of the above will work.

    Problem with air suspension

A bumpy ride can be a result of a few things. The Rangies I had had completely different ride characteristics. The main reasons for this was mainly the age of the airbags. When they are old the become less flexible. Old shocks don't help either but replacing them (on mine) had minimal impact. I...

    Flat battery

In the short term you could disconnect the blue antenna wire from the rx'er. This will reduce the units ability to pick up any signals and will give you a short term solution. It will also reduce the range of the key fob as well so you will need to be no more than a metre away from the unit when...

    Flat battery

What year is your wagon?. If it is older than a 2001 it is likely that the RF receiver is an older model which is susceptible to spurious radio signals. Weak signals will keep the BeCM awake thus flattening your battery pretty quickly. Stronger signal can result in complete lockout using the...

Unless you remove the dash you don't have many options other than to drill it. With the dash out you have significantly more access and should be able to get some vicegrips on the head. One of mine was rounded but I managed to get it out with dash out. I used a hex headed screw for the...
