    Just thinking more on the subject would a wide angle prop solve the problem as the v8 gearbox sits a bit higher than what the old 4 pot did?

    Acquired this gearbox for a bargain of £20 and have worked out its a 4 speed with reverse bottom right does anybody know what type it is and what it's come out of? Also what does the black knob do with the vacuum pipes etc?

    Yes you need to cut off old mounts and move them forward to where the engine mounts holders sit, quite easy even if your a novice a friend of mine did them for me with a mig only took half hour. Engine sits forward quite a bit gives good access to bell housing and rear of engine
