    front hub leak

Ok thanks, from what I remember there is a large rubber seal the size of the swivel I guess that's the one I should look at replacing? After checking the axle breather of course.. The swivel was quite heavily pitted due to areas of corrosion, so i gave it a light grit blast and recoated it...

    front hub leak

Disco is leaking fluid from the near side swivel, quite a significant amount and even when parked on a negative camber when would normally expect fluid to run towards the opposite side of the axle. I fitted all new seals for the stub axle and swivel a while back and refilled with one shot...

    Starter motor

Hi all, its been a while glad to see the forum is going as strong as ever. Hoping someone can help, the disco won't turn over at all, it has been cranking slowly for some time now but this week finally gave up the ghost. My immediate suspicion was starter motor, under closer inspection I found...

    heater matrix leak

Ok, but in principle is it ok to bypass the heater matrix this way, if the pipe is not restrictive is there any possibility the engine could over heat or am I safe? Thanks

    heater matrix leak

Is this ok as a short term fix? Took it for a spin to get the engine heated up and it didn't explode.. which is a bonus! Coping without a heater is do-able for me if it gives me a month or so to get all the other stuff I have on at the moment sorted..

    heater matrix leak

Ok thanks, but take it there is no guide about for this? Failing that I'll have to resort to the trusty Haynes. Anyone done it via fusebox leaving dash insitu: Heater Matrix Replacement

    heater matrix leak

The disco has been losing approx 1L of water during my 7mile trip to and from work for the last week or so now, looking under the bonnet once engine heated up I couldn't find where it was going.. until today when I noticed a very soggy drivers footwell. Searching the forum I can't find a how-to...

    Please help!! Noisy Disco..

Have just ordered repleacement upper and lower pipes off ebay, the current ones must be pretty old so for the sake of £30 might as well get new ones. Its difficult to get any decent photos of the extent of the leak, but you can see the whole underside is pretty much covered in oil. I went for...

    Please help!! Noisy Disco..

Ah great thanks, I already did the crank seals a while back was close to looking at then again you've possibly saved me wasting a lot of time!! I've never really noticed where the pipes attach to the engine, although have disconnected them from the cooler a few times, shall have a butcher's..

    Please help!! Noisy Disco..

Yes pretty sure it's engine oil, for the last year or so it would leave a few spots on the floor after parking up. But it must have got worse as getting to essex Fri night it left s*** loads on the road! It doesn't smell like atf It's hard to tell where its coming from but there is lots of oil...
