Just torqued them up all three were way under 26nm, the leak seems to have stopped will find out for sure once I've bought more coolant tomorrow. Thanks James. Oh and I seem to have found the source of my bad oil leak since the last couple of years, can feel an air leak on one of the rivets on...

So if im lucky i may just need to re-tighten? I copper greased the threads which may not have been a good idea. Although I tend to over tighten things normally!!

PS I never torqued the water pump bolts..

The disco now has a bad leak from the p-bracket, does anyone know whether this could have been disturbed when changing the water pump? I fitted a new gasket only a year ago!!!!

Not sure, but when I removed the pulley there was no play in the pump!! Also with pulley attached there is no lateral movement

Ok thanks James shall get another new one this week and hopefully the current pump will hold out till then. Do you think I should get a replacement pulley as well?

As there is a tapping noise on tick over and whining under load, I'm pretty sure both are linked, removing the belt eliminates the tapping so wanted to check that the engine whine (can be heard in latest video) also disappears

Is it safe to drive for 5 mins with belt off?

That first video you cant hear the problem was to show the slack in the belt. Tensioner seems ok in that there is minimal play and the bearing is not loud. I dont recall the make of the waterpump but just took off the 3 bolts holding the pulley on and can rotate the pump with a bit of effort, no...
