    heater matrix leak

Well i just officially wasted £40 and a day of my life! Bought a new matrix off ebay, turned out to be britpart. Using the original pipes it just kept leaking once warmed up, tried various o-rings and even bought some HG sealant but nothing helped. I guess its just a bad fit with the pipes, oh...

    DIY front towbar/push bar

    heater matrix leak

Quick question regarding the aircon, what are the chances of this still actually working after 18 years - if I get it regassed that is. Is there anything I should be looking at checking whilst the dash is out?? Thanks

    heater matrix leak

Well I spent the afternoon on this and can confirm that it really is a dash out job, although all can be stripped down in a couple of hours if you work fast and use leccy tools. According to Haynes the entire blower unit has to be removed to allow access to the matrix, and if you have aircon...

    Starter motor

New starter on and what a difference!! Thanks for the advice chaps, the CL/alarm issue seems to be due to battery having low charge all sorted now :D

    heater matrix leak

Brian, thanks. Is there a chance I could change the matrix and put it back together to find out of was the pipes that were leaking? Thats my only thought with changing the whole unit. Unless the leak is likely to be easy to spot, taking into consideration that it will now be dry as I bypassed...

    Advice needed, help

    heater matrix leak

Cheers ears :) can anyone confirm whether the ebay link would definitely fix my leak? And whether is suitable for a 95 auto with aircon? I want to have all the parts needed before pulling the dash out...

Should I complain about an MOT station

Buy a decent used mig and teach yourself to weld thats what I did. You won't find an easier motor to patch up than a disco :)

    Starter motor

Ok thanks something else to add to the list. Replace actuator?

    heater matrix leak

Haha no chance don't fancy doing that again!! Any idea what part number I need to fix the leaking matrix on a 95 auto? is it a case of changing a pipe/the matrix itself or the whole unit? Ive seen this in ebay not sure whether its the right one or I should look at buying new...

    Starter motor

Just went out to find my alarm keeps going off, locking with fob I noticed the nearside rear lock is slow to go down when locking and doesn't come back up when unlocking. Its a long shot but could this be linked to my none starting issues, something electrical? If not I guess it could be low...

    front hub leak

Was thinking the same but suppose losing a bit of one shot is less of a concern than the risk of letting the front diff run dry, this has happened once already and looks like I now know why. Shall keep my eye out for any decent used swivels going cheap..

    heater matrix leak

Thanks, sounds like it s not too big a job after all - cant be as bad as the time I had to replace the auto box on my own!!!

    front hub leak

I see makes sense, bit annoying though as I have already replaced all the seals on each corner of the disco, although I suppose I'm going back 3 years now
