looking at this diagram again, blocking one side of the coolant will block coolant flow to other parts so its not a great idea i think

thanks for the info. the idea behind blocking the coolant is to proof the theory and so that I can have a/c without too much work for the summer months as the the next available slot is in november

are you aware of where this flap which opens and closes hot air is? i mean if i dont need to take the whole dashboard apart id rather check/replace it than mess with old coolant pipes :D

Thanks for the replies. Went to an aircon specialist. Understandably they are very busy atm but he recycled the gas and checked for vacuum. System had the right amount of gas and the pressure seems good. High and low pressure are hot and cold as they are supposed to. He thinks the heating...

Experimented a bit and there is def a difference even between passenger and driver side. Although neither are very cold passenger feel cool at least while driver side is warm. I think i may have more than one issue, first being ac not cooling enough and second some climate control valve is stuck...

Ac def kicking in as i can feel the difference in the power lol. If im not crazy i think the rear ac are a little colder than the front ones! Although neither are very cold compared to what it used to be. No ac is not an option for me, its 38degrees atm and will be very close to 45 in august

yes its also been remapped, so i guess that might also be it. If you are talking about the inputs i can see when i turn cruise control on or off

no, nothing happens when i press any of the buttons, although i can see the trigger in nanocom, so the buttons and connections seem fine.

well it is for my D2, i dont have a D3. the amber light i mean on the cruise control button light - that is the one turning on :)

when i press the cruise control button the little light turns on , i accelerate normally to desired speed and then try to press the buttons but nothing happens. horns work, yes

100% valid point however i also travel to continental europe or africa and there cruise control is very convenient. This a photo from my latest adventure in the sahara :D

Everything checks out. On the next page there is also the resume and set accelerate inputs and those also seem to be registering

so this is part of the accelerator pedal right? is there any way i can test if this is my problem without getting the pedal apart?

unfortunately cruise control is still not working. so what is my next place to check?

Yes, so i turned on the switch which lights up and then i got up to speed and pressed the set + and i let go of the accelerator but nothing happened. Was expecting it to maintain that speed or at least feel some kind of trottle response ?
