lol ,this is an old post so would be in trouble if i hadn't fixed it by now.....it was the unit hanging down that was leaking the fuel filter apparently....aroung 90 quid and abour 2hrs to replace , hope this helps

thanks for your advice guys , I'll give it a good clean to see where the diesel is leaking from and then go from there. will update my post after that.
