I managed to use the original cable for my 200tdi conversion which went onto the old 19j but had to play around a bit, quite a lot actually to achieve it. Can be done though.

I had exactly the same prob, locked with the key in barrel but when I took the key out you could open the rear door like I never locked it and so I replaced the internal key barrel and all was sorted. Meant a new key though.

Put a 13" one on my 200tdi defender and i've got massive tyres/wheels, some people said steering could be awkward but absolutely no probes at all.

Been out today with no fan and all seems fine, temp gauge up to middle and no more. Do like the idea of a fan I could manually switch on in summer if needed though so by the summer will probably source a fan of a fiesta or similar and put in front of rad with a switch in the dashboard. Cheers...

Could I take the fuel lift pump off my 2.5TD and put it on my 200tdi engine as I think thet lift pump on my 200 is kaput! I know the one on the TD is fine but would it work. Thanks for reading Mark.

Gonna go and have another play around now but think new filter and lift pump tomorrow! I presume the lift pump is reasonably straight forward to swap over? Thanks again guys.

Thanks, that pretty much confirms it then, I think I have the lines the right way round got 1 from lift pump to filter and 2 from filter to injection pump but not 100% sure the 2 to injector pump are right way round as no pics or ref of any other 2.5td fuel filter to 200tdi injection pump and...

Well all piped up the way the TD was and as far as the fuel side is concerned it's ready to go! Two things stopping me turning her over now, firstly I got the big 41 mm nut of the centre of the TD crankshaft pulley no problem but try as I might I can not get the pulley to come off I've tried...
