Not sure, but I think that type of plug repair is ilegal, thought it had to be the mushroom type that's fitted from inside. Handy to carry though :) .

Seen a guy using ammonia to remove tint :eek: , reckons it's the best way .

Easy way to slide a disco box back on your own, is to use a small trolley jack on an old bread/engine trolley, the sort with swivel wheels. Much easier to line back up than just a jack. :D .

Check the pushrods ok .

Slack each injector pipe in turn with the engine running, see if there's one that makes little difference . Did you recheck the valves after you first run it ?, a tight clearence can cause rough running .

Could be worth checking valve clearance again .

Is there fuel at the filter ,slack the bleed screw, see if the lift pump is pulling it through .

I had an escort cosworth, around 230 bhp , 0-60 was just under 6 sec .

Early 200's never had them fitted , on later one's that had them, brackets are welded to the chassis not bolted, same on the axle .

Is it a 200 or 300 ? , on the 200 there is a box under the dash, drivers side next to the fuse panel, it seems to control the immobiliser/locking. I had trouble with mine and had to bypass it .

Deffo aftermarket or home grown I'd take it off , but if you do want to keep it you could make some links up using rod end type joints .

Maybe you could use some sort of mastic or a tube of no more rattle :D , I took mine off then tapped around the hole to make it smaller, been okay since .

Could be exhaust , also check the mud shield on the front output flange of the transfer box, it's pressed on and can come loose .

If it is an aftermarket one you can remove all trace of it , then MOT it no problem. Is it on old springs and shocks ? , if so it may handle like a bag of **** :D .
