Big bore Exhaust system for RRC

I spoke to the guy who built mine, and re-built it in '99. Unfortunately Janspeed no longer have any of the original build specs for their conversions. They were bought out in 2000 and all the build info went then. The standard turbo conversion runs at 7psi, mine should run a touch more but...

    swap PETROL V8 for diesel

I'm a petrol head. That's why I drive a V8 turbo Rangie instead of a diesel one. Diesel is good for the wallet, but bad for the soul. If someone said "You can have one gallon of fuel, either petrol or diesel, and any vehicle in the world to burn it in, but it's your last gallon ever" would...

    swap PETROL V8 for diesel

I'm driving to Czech in April in mine. No way I'd want to do it in a diesel.

Big bore Exhaust system for RRC

Mine's off to the Czech Republic in April / May. One thing I do strongly suggest, be careful running 8 psi if yours is as it left Janspeed - mine needed a set of extra strong Omega forged pistons at around 80k miles which were very, very expensive. It's also got a gearbox which currently...

Big bore Exhaust system for RRC

Mine's got the zytec ECU as well, but it uses the AFM for something. Mine's a 3.5.

Big bore Exhaust system for RRC

Deranged Rover.. is yours petrol or diesel? Because, trust me on this, you won't find an 'off the shelf' exhaust system for a petrol V8 turbo. Mine uses the TD centre and back boxes, but everything in front of the middle box has bugger all in common with anything I've seen on a non-turbo and...

    Um, where?

Big bore Exhaust system for RRC

I'll nip outside and get some better pics in the next few days. Mine was converted by Janspeed when it was new. A one-off "high pressure" set up reputed to produce over 300 bhp. Huuuuuge intercooler.

Big bore Exhaust system for RRC

My RRC V8 Turbo uses a turbo diesel middle and back box.

    Hello from the north west

I'll be up for some mild laning as soon as I get the replacement gearbox in mine. Nothing much hairier than the Wayfarer though, it's too tidy and unusual to damage, and it's used for work as well so I need to be gentle with it :-) Saying that, it had no problems on the Wayfarer.

    Hello from the north west

I'm a newbie in 'ere, but I'm not hugely far away so I'll say 'ello. Pete. (Liverpool)

Heh, I doubt I'll be putting a supercharger on it. It's already very, very limited for space under there. Takes around 25 mins just getting the plug leads fitted on the o/s head..

Ello! Certainly have, some massively oversized Rotomaster job, intercooled as well :-), it lags somewhat, bugger all below about 2500 RPM but I'm trying to work out a way of putting a hybrid jobbie or something similar on to bring boost in from lower revs. Janspeed's way of doing the turbo...

    Greetings Landy People.

Just thought I'd shove my ugly mush in 'ere and say 'ello. I've owned more Range Rover Classics than I'd like to admit, and at the moment I'm in the process of getting round to replacing the gearbox in my much loved '87 3.5 Auto (Turbo :-) ) Found this forum through googling for the easiest...
