    I'm now a P38 Owner......!

It'd probably look quite good painted black on mine, but I've got other things to sort first. Need an ultrasonic pod and new batteries in the keyfob in the next couple of days. Hopefully the mighty ebay will come to the rescue as usual. Got a new stereo amp for the drivers door today for £3.20...

P38 DSE doing 26mpg - is that good??

This is quite amusing. I averaged 20.4 mpg in my 4.6 bringing it home from Sheffield, including going over the snake pass. With the cost of diesel at the moment, I probably didn't spend much more than a couple of the diesels mentioned here..

Cannot sell my P38, dont want to give it away!!

It's me that bought the cheap P38.. The OP wants rather a lot more than I paid. Having said that, he's unlikely to spend the next few months chasing electrical gremlins.

    I'm now a P38 Owner......!

    I thought I'd join in, I've just bought a 4.6 HSE. My first P38 :-)

Cannot sell my P38, dont want to give it away!!

To make matter worse, this afternoon I bought a P38. M reg, 180k miles, 4.6 HSE, facelift lights, 18" hurricane alloys, LR "A" bar with spots, FLRSH, no apparant mechanical issues other than the brake pad / abs / traction lights flash when you first touch the brake pedal (but the ABS and TC...

Cannot sell my P38, dont want to give it away!!

Mine sold to a chap who I know, he knew what I paid for it and offered £6k on the spot. I suspect I was lucky, or he had a buyer lined up for it. I was going to put it in the paper for £4750..

Cannot sell my P38, dont want to give it away!!

It's only worth what someone will pay for it. That's the problem. Advertise it for a fiver and you'll have hundreds of people at your door in minutes. Put it up for £10k and you'll get to talk to all the rip off merchants promising "guaranteed buyers if you pay us £300". I find the Auto Trader...

    Dhse Gearbox Settings

Changing the filter is pretty easy as well (if it's the same as the 4HP22)

    Transfer case problem

alternatively, just buy a transfer box off eBay. They're not madly expensive anymore. I sold one for £20 a couple of weeks ago on there - but mine wasn't the Viscous one.

Cannot sell my P38, dont want to give it away!!

I bought a 2000 "X" reg Oslo Blue 4.0 HSE in perfect condition with 98k miles on a few months ago for £4k. Sold it for £6k, but I was lucky. Thanks to "Red Ken" Range Rover prices have fallen significantly in the last month or so. People think they cost a fortune to tax no matter how old they...

    Should I buy a 2000 x reg RR vogue 4.6 ?

I bought an Oslo blue 4.0 HSE, 2000 "X" reg, 94k miles with FLRSH and zero faults (amazingly) for £4000 a couple of months ago. No LPG, but immaculate inside and out. Unfortunately, an aquaintance offered £6000 for it a couple of days later so it's gone.

    Classic tart up

There are chips available, but I don't think they do much.. A good trick is to fit a 3.9 camshaft, that makes them quite a bit nicer. Tyres? I dunno, but mine has 235/70/16s and no issues. Much bigger and they can cause trouble on full lock or full axle articulation (off road).

    HELP!!! New engine needed!

I've seen this happen on a 4.2 when a liner had moved. Replacement block cost around £800.

    4.6HSE vs TD6 Fuel economy

You can't upgrade to a diesel... LPG and a V8 is the only way..

Should I sell my V8 Turbo Classic?

It's not an LSE, it's an '87. I've taken the side steps off it now. They were knackered and I don't like steps on a Range Rover anyway. I just don't know what to do with it. I've considered buying a little cheap econobox to use day-to-day, but I've tried this in the past. When I get to the...

1994 Classic "Softdash" Audio Wiring (incl rear sub woofer)

SKC - that's a Liverpool plate. Probably sold new by J.Blake & Co... I'd love another Mk2, but it's just impossible right now..

I'm now a range rover owner woo hoo

Cigar, definately. Preferably rolled on the thighs of a not-so-reliable virgin. That's probably the nearest thing you'll get to perfection with a Rangie. When it's right, it's brilliant, but when there's bad news sometimes you just really don't wanna know. Even so, you still go back for more...

Should I sell my V8 Turbo Classic?

I'm in a bit of a pickle, I've just finally got my Classic back on the road, and fuel prices are making it a bit difficult to run as it's not the most fuel efficient mode of transport on the planet. The problem is, I really don't want to get rid of it, but at present don't have the funds to fit...

    lpg cutting out

I suspect your local LPG specialist would have a look at it without needing to know exactly who made it, and he'll more likely than not be able to tell what make it is. Worth a try.

    Slipping auto gbox

I've just had to fit a gearbox to mine for the same reason... Top Tip - remove the transfer box first. I didn't, near killed me when what felt like 1/2 ton of gearbox finally came out.
