    19j / 200tdi turbo

So why bother changing it? Sounds like a load of trouble for no real benefit to me.

    19j / 200tdi turbo

So, what are the advantages of a 19j turbo over the standard 200tdi one then?

    X member step bolt size & Tap/Die

If you look in screwfix there are bolt removal bits for your drill that are counter threaded. If you can see the end of the sheared bolt, it might be easier to just remove it and replace it like for like? I can't remember how much they were, but they've saved my bacon a couple of times.

Advantages are that the engine breathes easier, so you release power and increase fuel economy. It's definitely worthwhile.

Help! First time buyer, overwhelmed by buying guides!

I reckon that Defenders hold their value so well simply because, deep down, everyone wants one. I used to ride sports bikes till I found that getting into leathers was more of a challenge than getting my knee down. All of my male friends loved them, but not the girls so much. When I got my...

Hi guys, I have just come in from fitting my exhaust to my 200tdi. The whole of the rear part of the exhaust was missing when I bought the Landy, and having fitted the new middle and end pieces together I can't find the last hanger. I've scoured the web and can't find any pics of the exhaust...

    New for old???

Hi Boris, I was planning on just purchasing a centre console to facilitate a stereo, but my binnacle is FUBAR, so I need to replace that. I'm planning on replacing my bulkhead tops so need to pull out the dash anyway!!

    New for old???

I hope it goes smoothly too. From what I can see, it shouldn't be too tough a conversion, with the main emphasis of the swap being on the electrical integration of new wiring to my old ( and butchered ) loom. Still, it should make for interesting reading I hope! As soon as I get started I'll get...

    New for old???

:rolleyes:Ok folks, with a bit of luck my dash will come through and I'll post a blow by painstaking blow of how to completely butcher a new dash in an old landy! Wish me luck!!:D:D

    New for old???

Ok, so tool-kit check list.... Big chuffing hammer=tick. Big pot of glue to stick the bit back,= no. Best not go down that route then....

    New for old???

Hi guys, I'm wanting to change my dash, as like me it's old and tired, and slightly cracked. I've found one for a 2003 model, with a centre console and everything. My 'Fender is a 1991. Simply put, will it fit?

    stiffy when steering

I'll spank it if it needs it! Just to keep it quiet you understand! Possibly uj's, I get some heavy backlash if I let the clutch out too quickly, I though that that might have been attributed to the uj's so I'll check it all out tomorrow. Thanks for your help!!

    stiffy when steering

How would I go about checking the cv? Just jack it and wobble the wheel about?

    stiffy when steering

It not the tyre, is chatters both moving and stationary. Fluids are all topped up, no major leaks, although there is a very slight weep on the steering box somewhere, but not enough to make a significant difference.
