Bit of advice please. When putting new regulator on do I leave the cover holding brushes in place until its fitted or do I take it off first and then fit. Thanks in advance

Finally got round to changing FIP fuel pressure sensor and top gasket, how it managed to seal buy just tightening I'm not sure. It had gone hard and was quite compressed. Any way new one now fitted

Reight had to run wife to her sisters so put Hawkeye on with live diagnostics to compare with the plugged in ciggy thing. hawkeye showing 13.8volts with engine running ciggy voltage 12.8. After 5 miles Hawkeye 13.7 other 12.6.

Thanks will get it tested. Could it be the cause of my problems

Well had to drop he wife off earlier and she was only going to be 30mins so instead of waiting I decided to put one of those voltage readers that go into cig lighter socket and go for a run. Ignition on but engine not running 12.6v cranking engine 10.1 v and with engine running 12.7 to 12.8 v...
