Try spraying some WD40 on any bearings /shafts etc but do it one at a time and see if it quietens down after doing so. This might just point you in the right direction without spending bugger all on diagnostic costs. Although you will still have the cost of the part to look forward to :eek:

Just an update.. I put another £35 quids worth of diesel in and the car seems to be running better than ever. It seems to have a lot more go than it did before. Ive checked the oil level and it hasn't changed so I don't think any petrol got into the engine block. I will be changing the oil soon...

Mines done that a few times too. I do park on the drive with the handbrake off and the gearbox in P but still occasionally have to use the handbrake and it still sticks after use. Ive stripped it down and cleaned but it still does it. I find that rolling down the hill by me with the handbrake...

If you can pop the switch out you could connect the 2 wires together and see if it then works. This would rule the switch out.

Your right it is. The wheel alignment is just to make the wheel line up squarely. When its got weight in it the wheels will still line up, its only the camber that will change with weight in the car.

I use an arc welder and just before I do any welding I bung the rods under the grill for 5 mins or warm them up with the blow torch. Works a treat. Can't use a MIG. I always melt the end of the gun every time. Spent more time setting the fukin thing up than welding with it. Sold mine and bought...
